The publication ethics of SETARA: Jurnal Ilmu Hukum are based on the principles of responsible scholarly publishing. The journal expects every submitted manuscript to be original, free from plagiarism, properly cited, and not under consideration by another journal or publication venue at the same time.
All manuscripts submitted to SETARA: Jurnal Ilmu Hukum must be original works of the authors. The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, including copying text, ideas, arguments, data, or legal analysis from other sources without proper acknowledgment. Manuscripts may be checked using plagiarism detection tools and editorial assessment before being sent for peer review.
Authorship must be limited to individuals who have made a significant scholarly contribution to the conception, writing, analysis, revision, or final approval of the manuscript. Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time. Manuscripts that have been published elsewhere, either in full or substantially similar form, will not be considered for publication. Redundant publication, salami publication, and duplicate submission are considered unethical publishing practices.
If an error, ethical issue, or academic misconduct is identified after publication, the journal may issue a correction, clarification, expression of concern, or retraction depending on the nature and severity of the case. Authors are expected to cooperate with the editorial team in resolving any publication ethics issues related to their work.
